Routes to Africa offers safaris, volunteer placement, missions trips, and adventure in Uganda and Rwanda » Routes To Africa

What We Do

Facilitate Trips:  Safaris, Adventure, Volunteering, Missions Trips

Routes to Africa is your Ugandan or Rwandan travel agent and host.  From the moment you land in the country or come by our office, until the time you depart, we take care of you.  Our services extend to all areas of your travel needs. We do all or some of the following - depending on what you need:

  • Create itineraries
  • Book accommodations
  • Arrange for all types of transport with qualified drivers
  • Send a host with you if you have a group
  • Handle all needs at the game parks while on safari or gorilla or chimp trekking, or at adventure areas (entry fees, permits, guides, porters, lodging, etc.)
  • Organize for your volunteering or missions trip
  • Connect you with a credible, fruitful project with whom you can volunteer
  • And, really, anything else you need

You can choose from one of our sample packages or work with us to build a custom safari tour. If you are volunteering, you can work with your own contacts (churches, organizations, orphanages, schools, etc.), or we can place you at one of our partner projects for a variety of service options (orphanage, medical, school, construction, church ministry, refugee resettlement process).  Whether touring or volunteering, you can tell us what you are looking for or want to do, and we will find a way to make it happen. If it is available, we will facilitate it!

We do not book your airfare. We do have extensive knowledge of the airlines and routes available to reach Entebbe or Kigali. So, be free to ask and we are happy to advise.

It is a priority for RTA to invest in the local communities. A portion of all our profits goes regularly to the various projects and NGO's with which we network.  Focusing on sustainable travel is a key focus of our business.

Create Jobs

RTA wants to provide work for the many people who need it in Uganda. We are glad to have regular employees and work with as many contracted people as we can to help them in the career and work endeavors.
